Rigorous College Prep
College Park Academy is a rigorous 6–12 college preparatory school that uses personalized learning to give students a tailored education to fit their needs. We understand each student is different, and we seek to provide an education plan that maximizes learning and success for each student.
At CPA, students take more agency over their learning, and this allows them to develop a sense of self-motivation and efficiency. Their schedule is a blend of online courses and on-site courses, and we provide the tools they need to flourish in both environments. Online courses allow students more responsibility and freedom over the speed, time, and place they complete their assignments. Our students are the driving force behind their own success at College Park Academy.
Success Coaches are the staff members who are in the Independent Learning Center with students during their elective classes. Success coaches help students with staying on track to finish their virtual courses. They act a lot like any other teacher in the building, providing guidance and support with the online Connexus platform, studying strategies, and resources to support academic growth. In addition, if a student is falling behind or failing courses, their Success Coach will notify them to discuss ways in which to help get back on track. They can also help get in touch with your virtual teachers.
Success coaches also engage in student goal setting. Because the CPA curriculum is personalized, success coaches ensure goals are being met and students are succeeding.

Honors, languages, UMD courses - and more
CPA offers four foreign languages—Spanish, German, French, American Sign. We offer 13 Advanced Placement courses (including Computer Science and Art History), and up to 25 UMD college credits. Partnering with UMD allows us to provide unique course selection for students, enabling them to receive a more well-rounded education than typical middle/high school students.
