MIDDLE SCHOOL

The College Park Academy middle school curriculum is designed to encourage student growth. CPA structures middle school courses around developing interests and discovering individual learning styles. Middle school students begin to understand how they learn best, and we offer opportunities to customize learning around each students’ individual needs.

In middle school, CPA students take core classes including math, science, language arts, and social studies, as well as physical education, health, and world languages. With our online curriculum, students can accelerate their coursework to match the speed of their learning and remain challenged and engaged in the material. Sixth grade students take on-site Spanish to develop a foundational understanding of language learning, after which they may switch languages or begin taking language courses with an online teacher.

We offer four different foreign languages, journalism, Education Technology, and Exploring Music. In addition to electives, CPA offers a range of music opportunities, such as woodwind and string instrumental lessons, choir and a monthly art academic enrichment program. Middle schoolers are at a foundational time in their life, and we provide them the room to grow into more mature individuals with well-rounded interests, skills, and knowledge to prepare them for a rigorous high school experience.
