COLLEGE PARK

One of America's great college towns

The location of CPA and our relationships with UMD and the City of College Park play a crucial role in our values, goals, and successes. As a top 20 college town, many residents are graduates, students, researchers, or professors at UMD, or work at one of the internationally-recognized science, research, or technology facilities in the area—BARC, NASA, NOAA, Ion Q (the quantum computing powerhouse), the Department of Agriculture, the American Center for Physics—or in nearby Washington, DC.

The College Park community also influences CPA’s commitment to transportation, environment, and sustainability. The community respects science and values a balance between economic/infrastructure development and sustainable growth. As the city continues growing in innovation and population, measures promoting green growth are top priority.

College Park provides a culture in which future generations can thrive: a culture of creativity, knowledge, innovation, diversity, and united community. Our students grow up valuing education and creativity above all else and these values stick with them as they move into their futures.

"The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members, a heart of grace, and a soul generated by love." -
